Meredith Salenger

Salenger grew and was raised in Malibu. In her early years, she enjoyed doing shows in front of friends and family. Her mother took her to her first class in acting when she was 8 years old. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a dance and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger performed a number of television commercials. Salenger was the first actress to be cast on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney that was a film starring John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film took home the Moscow Film Festival's gold award for being the first American-made film. Salenger was also named "Best Actress in Drama" in the Youth in Film Awards, because of her portrayal of the sexy Natty. When she was 18 she was cast in another four movies, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following years, she made the move to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her studies.
